Nestled in the scenic surroundings of Upstreet, Kent, Puddledock Woods is a family-run campsite which offers a friendly, rural environment in which you can relax, recharge and enjoy the countryside or explore the many attractions and activities which are available within this area of Kent.
With a wide range of facilities, we offer our guests the chance to reconnect with nature whilst still being able to benefit from modern comforts.
We remain open throughout the year, with a great range of accommodation options for all types of guest!
To help you make the most of your stay at Puddledock Woods, we’ve put together some handy information for you:
Puddledock Woods is open for hire to school and community groups. In collaboration with Wild Within C.I.C., we offer low-cost space to the local community for a wide range of purposes.
Throughout the winter season, we will be working hard to further establish Puddledock Woods as a space that can be enjoyed by the community.
Our main entrance is located on Nethergong Hill, which is just off the main road (A28) in the village of Upstreet, near Canterbury. Head down the hill and you will be greeted with signage for camping.
If you are relying on public transport, the Stagecoach number 8 bus passes through the village of Upstreet where we are located regularly throughout the day, and operates between Canterbury and Margate.
If coming by train, the closest train station is Sturry (Southeastern), however you would most likely still require a short bus or taxi journey from the station.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you require any assistance.

We just had the most wonderful stay at Puddledock Woods. We reconnected with nature, strolled through the woods and unwound. We stayed in the horsebox which was so cool and had everything you needed. The outdoor shower under the vines was delightful and the people that run the place are really welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. What a lovely escape from reality this was. Can't wait to go back. Thanks again for such a well needed break from life!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Posted on Sophia StutchburyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The couple who run it are so kind and have created a really welcoming campsite with lots of special details. Kids loved their rope swings, we loved their pub... Everyone was happy!Posted on Lisa HarrisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very peaceful and tranquil spot where you can camp in the woods.
